Default 700 Fuel consumption

I have an 04 700 carb whos' fuel consumption is deteriorating rapidly. I use it for moderate trail riding with moderate hills and not of low range stuff. I was getting about 70 plus miles per tank now i'm down to about 50. This makes me have to carry extra fuel when we go on a ride. The exhaust is clean and the engine has plenty of power with no hesitation. Any ideas whats going on? What kind of fuel mileage are you guys getting? Thanks

I had an 02 700 that I could get 80-85 miles to the tank, but my 05 is closer to 65-70...smaller tank I think?

Check the air filter, maybe install a K@N or twin air for mre air, it helps. It might also be the gas, they put different additves in the winter seems to make everything make worse milage.
