Default do you know whats wrong?

the chain wa swicked loose, so i tightened it so there was a little slack, but not much. Seince then the sound seems to be worse, and the chain is starting to streach again.

Did you look at the sprockets? The chain should not stretch. Do you see where the chain is hitting/rubbing anything? It may be the silent chain in the tranny. When you jacked it up in the rear did you jack it up from under the rear of the swingarm or under the quad.? Where is the noise comming from? Could be a belt ready to go also. If the chain is loose already check the bearings or anything that could be loose. Maybe you did not get the bolts tight enough.

I had the same problem on my Xplorer and my buddy is experiencing it now. There is a grease fitting just on the other side of the rear brake disc that tends to get missed when greasing. We had the bearings go out and eventually the sprocket wears and there gets to be a lot of play especially when there is weight or torque put on it. Not sure if that is your problem but that is my guess/suggestion to look at.

Try raising the rear tires off the ground and rotating the back tires by hand to see if there is
a bind in the chain. Sometimes you will get bad links in the chain that will bind up and creat
a tight spot in the chain. That spot will make some noise as it goes around the sprocket.

Follow the rear chain to the forward sprocket. It should be to the right of the sprocket as you are looking at it from the rear. There might be 2 grease fittings there. 1 for the swingarm and 1 for the output shaft.
