Default do you know whats wrong?

Ive got a 2002 trail blazer. When i give it gas it makes a loud clanking noise. The more gas i give it the louder it gets and the faster the noise gats. When i jack it up and give it gas it doesnt make the noise. It doesnt make the noise in reverse either. I think its the chain but i wanna be sure.

I also am looking for some good power mods if there are any.

Any help is appreciated.

srry if this type of question has been posted already.

Where is the noise coming from. Front/back/engine.... Have you changed your sparkplug lately.

From what you say it sounds like your tranny is either busted a case or the chain inside the tranny is bad.
Other than that it could be the rod and piston in the motor.

Yeah might be your chain, when you jack it up your swing arm could be extending and making your chain tighter so the rattle would be gone. Hope it isnt your piston..ouch..good luck.

Sounds alot like the trans to me too. The chain in the tras has strached out to much.

thanks for the help.

i checked my chain and there is a busted o ring(i dont know if that would make the noise)

im gunna check the chain in the case to see if thats it.

The only thing i still dont get is if it is the chain in the case, or the pistons or what ever, why it doesnt make ithe noise when propped up, only when ur actually giving it gas when riding.

i was also wondering if i have 500 dollers to spend on it what are the best thing to buy for it power wise?

First off how much slack do you have in the chain? Second 500 can get you goin pretty good. Call rick at ritter cycle and he can set you up.
