Default Stuck in thye mud

I got stuck in 2 feet of mud today in the first 2 minutes of my ride and had to wait for someone to pull me out with their winch. I'm new at this and got a little nervouse when I felt my ATV leaning as I was going through, so I let of the throttle, yup, I let of the throttle. BIG MISTAKE!!!!! valuable lesson learned. I will never STOP while going through deep wet, wet mud like that again. Once I realized that, I was good for the day. That Hawkey can get through just about anything. I went everywhere the Sportsman 500 I was following went, no problems. Although whenever he went through really deep mud I made my own trail around it (where I could of course) for fear of getting stuck again. I think I'm a wimp.....

You need to watch a sport bike like a suzuki z400 with a good rider go through that stuff, I know a 4x4 makes it alot easier, but knowing how to ride makes a world of differance. I'm sure in time you'll be right up there with the best of them. I too am new to quad riding.....best of luck

Default Stuck in the mud

I've just got a Trailblazer 250, but the first weekend I rode it was wet ground and I had to slow down to go around this tree in the middle of the path, mud was on both sides so I had to make a choice to go to the right or left of this huge tree. I choose left and got caught up in these huge roots coming out of the mud. I was alone and stuck with no winch. Brand new quad, stuck and it was getting dark. Well I had to leave the quad and walk/run back to my truck and get my wife who had come only to watch me ride.. Well shes a girley girl and had on a new pair of Birkenstocks she had bought the day before. Well I got out of the mud mess with her help. But still catch flack years later because of her sandels getting mudded.
