I just got a polaris shop manual for my sportsman efi and was reading a 800 efi has a compression ratio of 10.2 to 1 and the 700 has 9.6 to 1, i wondering if a person milled the 700 efi head to raise the compression if it would have anymore power?

 

ya you should get some more power but i dont know how much.

 

I read some where that a guy took a new head gasket that was made from 3 layers and split it apart. He only used 1 layer and gave it a good increase in power.
