Wrench flashing when starting?
#1
I have a 2006 500 efi and when I start my quad a wrench is flashing for about 10 seconds. I just turned 25 hrs. I read my owners manual and sevice manual. It says it's the service interval indicator. The manual says it's set at 50 hours not 25. I did have a 10 hrs service and the mechanic said I need to do the 25 hr service later. I don't know if he set it to flash at 25 hrs. Anyhow, I can't seem to reset the service interval indicator. The owners manual and service manual don't say how to get into the Service interval mode. They just say, "While in the Service Interval Mode," hold the reverse overide button for..... but I can't get into the Service Interal Mode. Does anyone know how to do it? Also the manual says it will flash for 5 seconds when you first start the quad, mine flashes for 10 seconds. Is this telling me something other than a service interval? I checked or trouble codes and there were none. Thanks for any help.

I can't swear but I am pretty sure mine went on at 25 hours as well. If I remember correctly if went off after a little riding time.
I have this recolection because my light just came on again and I immediaitely checked the hours...it had just clicked over to 50. If I see anything different in the shop manual I will post it

Done, I did it! I set it for the next service. I plan on doing all my services. Thanks for helping me with my reading skills. By the way, it was real easy to reset. Thanks for the help....
