Default I think i did it this time

I went out riding last night and hit a little jumo came down a little crooked only about 2 feet in air and on my trailboss the 2 metal bars that hold on my left side floor panel on the bottom one of them snapped on the frame right where the weld is at. I called my dealer to see if it will be covered under warranty did not tell them what happened just asked and they said that it never happened before and they would have to send someone down from polaris to look at it to see if it was covered or not now should I take it in or try and weld it myself any info would be appreciated I have jumped higher not much and nothing ever happened I think the weld was weak but input needed.

You can have a pro welder do it for about $20.00 or less.

It will take weeks with the dealer!

Well...You could have the guy come down and take a look at it on the odd
chance it is covered and if it ends up not being covered all ya did was waste
a few minutes of the guys time and then you are still going to have to fix it yourself.

- Or just say F-it and do it yourself anyway.

If you can weld you might as well do it yourself. Chances are pretty good that youll get a half a$$ weld job from the dealer anyways. Chances are also pretty good that something else will get screwed up in the process.

If the dealer says its covered I see if they will give a new frame. If not, id weld it and then weld an extra piece of metal to reinforce it. Check all welds on the frame to be sure it don't happen again.
