no place to winter ride, it is illegal to use it on the snowmobile trails ,which are the atv trails the rest of the year. It really get very cold up here anyway, plus everyone that I ride atv's have sleds. You can legally ride an atv on the snowsled trails till they first take out the groomers. but people usually don't do it.

I would offer a little different advice with regard to the running the gas out of the tank... Turn your fuel off and run the gas out of the lines, but TOP OFF the gas tank. Otherwise, condensation will leave you with some water in the bottom of your gas tank come spring! All the other advice was great, though... particularly cleaning, greasing, and putting it on blocks. Always good to hear someone wanting to take care of their toys... never enough of that these days.

On another note, I can't wait to see how my Sportsman does in the snow (unless my company relocates me to SC... oh well, year round trail riding, right?).

I have seen a lot of Polaris Sportsman but I've never seen a yellow one yet! You sure that's not a Foreman?
South Carolina's a great place to live. Just think how much better it's going to be after Strong Thurman!!
Xepathfinder, you might want to consider keeping that quad ready to ride for awhile longer. Assumming you have a self propelled snow blower, your gonna want to try the quad with a blade. So buy the blade later and hopefully you get to run it before the snow man melts. Just a suggestion, let the dealer install the blade for you unless you want to puzzle around with it. One more thing, do you think you might know anybody by the name, Jeep, Explorer, Blazer, Yukon, etc? Only in America...
Chuck, Suzuki KQ 300, GPS & lunch...
