Use WD40. It is a water displacer and it won't let the crud take hold. Plus its cheaper becasue you can buy it by the gallon and places like Homedeopt. Just becareful around your breaks. Most of the people I ride with soak there bikes in it less the seat and the dirt and muck just falls off.

Be careful with that stuff.... I have found you get a little WD on the plastic... it deteriates the finish... it is a penetrating oil....
For the most part you mainly wan't to fill in the pores of the plastic and make cleaning a whole lot easier..... I have been using pledge or a watercraft spray on wax recently... works good too! Safe on plastic.... Doesn't deteriate the the finish...

I use no touch tire shine on the bottom side of mine. Keeps it looking shinny and new and when you wash it grim comes off easily.

Hate to say this but WD40 is a water displacer. That what the WD stands for. That why you use in in your distributor when it gets wet. NIt's not penatrating oil. Someone found out that is has lubricating properties and called it peneratating lube becasue most cars don't have distributers anymore. It also works great on Smowblower imprllers and mower decks. Keeps the grass from sticking. if something is wet it will get in and dispalce the water. Car door hinges are a good example of that. I think that's why folks this is a penerataing lube. That's a topic for another day.

WD40 will in no way harm plastic or even decals. When I used to ride and race motocross bikes I always covered them in that stuff. Makes them easy to clean, keeps them looking shiny, and protects from sun fade and rust. Good stuff. I even use it to clean tar and asphalt off my dump truck. Works better than anything for that.

Thats where you get the dull finish from.... I used when I removed the sticker residue and it was a poor choice... dulled the surface right out....
But I learned what WD stands for now!
I thought it came from Walt Disney and contained ferry pixels or whatever that stuff is.....
Anywho... back to the topic... keep that wheeler clean huh?
Until the next ride anyway!
