Default My new Outlaw

Wow, it's been a while since I've been on here, 2002. Last time I was here I was a newbie looking for advice on a new quad, and I ended up not even buying one until today(decided to get another snowmobile instead and didnt get a quad "itch" until this week, impulse buying RULES!!!). Anyways, I thought I would drop back in and show off my new 2006 Polaris Outlaw. Man, this things got more ***** then I thought it would. I've only ridden it on the dealer parking lot, but I'm looking forward to trying out the suspension on some MN trail here pretty soon. After I get some miles on it I'll post some impressions. For now, heres some pics.

Ok, guys. I went out today for my first ride on my first quad. I went riding on some dirt roads, fields, and a hilly ATV play area next to some railroad tracks. It was mixed muddy/snow covered/bumpy dry grass. The thing handles pretty good, I was flying over junk and the rear end was just soaking it up. I was really happy with the way it handled in corners, it powerslided nicely, and I didnt notice any excessive body roll in corners. Then again I dont have a lot of time on quads, the last time I rode was a couple hours in 2003, and before that, 1 hour about 10 years ago. I didnt like the close ratio tranny too much, I wish it had more in every gear, it shifted great, but I didnt like having to shift so much. I was riding with a 500 Scrambler and a LTZ400. I could smoke them both, but it took a little bit to get used to shifting(I've been snowmobiling for 16 or so years). While the two guys I was riding with said that its a pretty powerful quad, I actually think I'm gonna get bored with how much power it has. The first time I had it flat out in 5th I was trying to shift into "6th", I need more. I suppose once it gets broken in, itll be a little faster, but I'm already thinking about a big bore kit for it. Does anyone make one for the Pred/Outlaw? It flys pretty good, I didnt launch it, but I did get it off the ground a little, enough to know that it should be a pretty neutral flyer. Overall, I'm pretty happy with it, it ran great and did everything that I wanted it too. If you guys have any specific questions, go ahead, and I'll try to answer as best I can. But, I dont know a ton about quads, so trying compare it to anything other than a Scrambler or an LTZ400 at this point will be just about impossible for me.

P.S. I did get very muddy, but no pics!!!
