I changed my trans-axel, trasmission, oil last night and found a few metal shavings on the magnet of the oil plug. Is this normal to find a few shavings? This was the first time this SP500 was serviced.

It is normal to find shavings on the first servicing of the machine you will probably find a small amount on the oil drain plug when you change the engine oil also. All the parts get some break in wear when its new.

Plus, no matter how clean they try to get all the parts, there are a few noks and crannies where shavings from the machining operations will hide. Nothing to worry about as long as next time you change oil there aren't more than this time.
