A little late announcing this but. I finally got the guts up and bought me a new toy on March 10. After about 6 months of research I ended up going with a 2006 Polairis 500 HO. Carb model.. Walked out of the showroom with it for just over 6 grand.

Got the EBS added also.. So far I have about 50 miles on it. Been riding a few times. It is a blast. Working on some mods for it now.

But anyways theres my good news for the day...

500ho's aren't that hard on gas..lol..you ride for 2 days straight with that thing or what [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/img]

 

Maine : In that pic we went about 30 miles in about 1 1/2 of snow at times.. I pulled it off the trailor with zero miles. So the 2 cans of gas was for break in.. I went thru 3.5 gallons that day, I just wanted to be prepared. Didnt know what she would go thru..

Holy crap man you have 9350 miles on that thing!!!!!! I have to see a pic of the speedo!!! My god! It looks cool! Ever have any problems with it?

Congrats on your new ride!! I still have my yellow 2001 Sportsman 500 HO. That was the first year for the HO. I previously had a 99' polaris 500 and what a surprise I had the first time I punched the throttle on the HO. Like night and day!!!!! I know you will enjoy Polaris's best all around model.
