scram not starting
#1
i have a 2000 scrambler 400 and i was driving it by my friends house when i ran out of gas. so i put it on reserve just before we managed to get to my friends house it runs completely dry i turn it of put it in neutral and push it back
we put gas in it and now it wont start
changed the spark plug
heated it
emptied the cylinder of most gas
got flooded again
backfired
i am gonna take the fuel line off the carb and run gas through that for a minute and spray some carb cleaner in the carb. ne other ideas

The problem with reserve is it's the lowest part of a gas tank. And you know what goes to the lowest part of the tank!!! I will give you a hint. You should drink 4 to 5 glasses of it a day. Get my point?

You didn't fry anything. Water dosen't fry anything.....it just won't burn. Just take the tank off and clean it out with some fresh gas. Then take the carb off and clean the float bowl real good. Put it back together start it up and go have fun with your Scrammy.
BTW, the water in the gas is just a guess on my part from what you have told me. I've seen it many times though, so it's a good guess IMHO.
