Will a stock choke cable work in the 39mm carb?

Keihn 39mm carb and the stock choke cable

I put a 39 on my 4x4 about a month ago, I used the 34mm choke cable. It seems to work ok, But the **** wont pull over center. Ive got it adjusted all the way down too.
