Regardless, I am excited as a consumer to see two companies with similiar philosophies working together. The outcome could only equal more powerful quads. I guarantee the new KTM Evolution, with a 525cc powerplant will rip away from the pack.

Doubt it. Polaris is a little behind in the speed factor, along with honda, and arctic cat. Bom, Yamaha, and i think, but not for sure, suzuki, all havee 600+ cc racers. That 525 will beat Honda and AC, mabey, but not the others yet.

wow that was realy hard to read!

Polaris will prolly come out with a sportsman at a true 800.

i have heard some things about a sportsman 800 "SPORT"
with 12 inches of suspention travle front and rear.
and they will drop 150 or so pounds!

the predator will stay the same, anything new will go in the outlaw!

and they might have a DOHC 250 trailblazer.
and EFI on more machines!

Hmmm......a Sportsman 800 "Sport". That would be interesting. Dropping the weight would be key. I'm not sure how they'd be able to drop 150 lbs though. The Sportsman weighs more, in large part, because it's built into the frame, drivetrain and and suspension components. Sure you can eliminate the front storage box......but that won't get you there. I think it would require a comprehensive re-design.

Also.....the Trailblazer 250. It's a 2-stroke.....hasn't the government maindated a phase-out of 2-strokes?......So yes a DOHC 4-stroke makes sense.

Where does your info come from Fred?

If polaris is smart they make the predator a 450 class quad and put it on a 50 pound diet.. The ktm 450 motor will do just fine in it.. Come on polaris lets see what you got!

I dont think this engine resembles the 900 rmk in anyway. were talking major differences like 2-stroke to 4-stroke

i had assumed it was a 4 stroke since there both liberty motors..
