Any rumors on 07 sportsman or KTM motor in line for 07
on the topic of updating the scrammy, i would be more interested in seeing them release an automatic 4x4 version of the outlaw... mayb badge it a scrambler II? that would be most excellent on the trails! also i've heard that the '07 Sportsmans will feature significant updates for handling and weight and that their IRS will be more like the outlaw's... dunno just what i've heard... Aluminum arms on the sportsman would be stupid tho, so lets hope not...

ya, the 900,800 &700 big block 2 stroke sled engines are gone for 07, nothing bigger than the 750 4-stroke turbo now. Seems strange what there doing lately, maybe some major re-vamps to all there lines coming up after the ktm partnership.

the 900 Fusion engine is kinda crap... they didn't test it near enough and had multiple recalls. They thought they had fixed it for '07 sleds, but (if i'm rememberring right) the new cranks failed in late trials, and they decided to take a year off the big bore motors to make them work correctly. THis is also the reason the "Fusion" name got dropped... too many bad memories from too many people... just an FYI (i like to follow the company as much as possible)
Also, no offense to fusion owners... i wanted one myself actually... just wish they didn't have so many issues w/ that engine........ oh well, hopefully an '08 "IQ" 900 for me and a 600 for the girlfriend

Hmmm......a Sportsman 800 "Sport". That would be interesting. Dropping the weight would be key. I'm not sure how they'd be able to drop 150 lbs though. The Sportsman weighs more, in large part, because it's built into the frame, drivetrain and and suspension components. Sure you can eliminate the front storage box......but that won't get you there. I think it would require a comprehensive re-design.
Also.....the Trailblazer 250. It's a 2-stroke.....hasn't the government maindated a phase-out of 2-strokes?......So yes a DOHC 4-stroke makes sense.
Where does your info come from Fred?

with 12 inches of suspention travle front and rear.
and they will drop 150 or so pounds!
the predator will stay the same, anything new will go in the outlaw!

Doubt it. Polaris is a little behind in the speed factor, along with honda, and arctic cat. Bom, Yamaha, and i think, but not for sure, suzuki, all havee 600+ cc racers. That 525 will beat Honda and AC, mabey, but not the others yet.

i think the reson polaris droped the fusions is because they werent up to the EPA standerds...
and they have to redesign the 900 motor to run the cleanfire injection.
like the 600HO motor.

Arctic Cats biggest sport quad is 400cc's and its a direct rebadge of the Suzuki LTR-400. the Suzuki 450 is the largest bore sportquad they currently offer.

You didnt read it right. It will beat AC and HONDA. But its to late to beat a new 700 Raptor, or a DS650, they just keep staying a step ahead of Polaris, AC, and honda in aspects of speed and power in a sport quad. So no, i dont want to rethink, because im right!
