Default question about skid plates?

I have a 2003 Polaris sportsman 400 and i was wondering what would be a better choice polyethylene or aluminum?
I herd that polyethylene was better because aluminum gets dented. also i would like to know a good place to get one

i would go Poly. you should be able to get them from your local dealer, they are priced around $44 around here for the full body skid, and then $40 or so for the a-arm guards as well.

i got a poly one and it seems to work pretty good. the only problem is that you have to drill holes in your frame

Alum sure rattles on yah. Dont seem like it would if it was all tight and snug but it sure does. Go poly... The way they make some of that stuff nowadays its stronger than steel.
