I know sportsmans are notorious for having soft front ends but my 01 500 is ridiculus, when you turn it really rolls, also i cant put more than a few pounds on the front rack, has anyone upgraded to heavier springs? anyone have part numbers?

Moose makes a front spring replacement,Adds 100# more capacity to the front racks too. I found mine at dennis kirk, bout 70 bucks.

I have the heavy springs on my 600 and love them they give you the punch you need when in mud bogs and stiffens up the whole body roll issue when cornering I changed then as soon as i got the bike as i had the heavy springs on my 98 500 and loved them!
Pics are showing them

Handling was better less roll. They are progressive rate springs. I use a plow,It weighs 200# so the extra 100# is needed.
The ride stayed the same as stock.

just go up to your dealer and say you want the 700/800 front springs. that'll take care of it. and if it dosnt, try some Fox long travel struts. you can get them off pure polaris for scramblers - it still fits
