Are the weights supposed to be in contact with the rollers with the engine off? They do make contact with the clutch bolt removed, but with the bolt in and tightened, the face moves in about an eighth of an inch.

For your application it doesn't matter once you start you machien the weights will move and come in contact with the rollers.

Do you know what my application is? If you do you've been reading and paying attention, to which I say good job and thanks.
The machine is being setup for 300ft drags if that matters. Doc

Now I've got to get rid of about an eighth of an inch of belt to sheave play. arghh
only supposed to have .020 and the belt measures good

What did you change to cause this did you remove a washer from your primary?

No, I think it's just plain wore out. I never really paid attention to it before. Now I'm actually tying to get some performance out of it and finding out how out of whack things are. I'll be taking apart the other 250 I have and see if I can make some pieces parts and sense out of this mess. Gadzooks, going fast is a pain in the ****. I appreciate your time, Mr. werx
