Sportsman X2 Vibrator.

I posted some pics in the gallery here. They have to be approved so it might take a while.
I just bolted it to the box frame with some angle iron. It's not the greatest looking creation, but I had all the materials and wanted a bumper before anyone ran into me.
I saw an ATP at the dealer yesterday with the Polaris Rear bumper on it. Looks like it would work on an X2 with some modifications. I didn't have time to measure it up or really go over it though. I wasn't sure how mine would hold up with my mounting arangement, but polaris does it the same way, and so far it has been fine.
Pics are here also under SP X2. http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/malibu81man/my_photos

I have two- -one purchased in February and one purchased three weeks ago. The newer one has a vibration and noise in the drive train somewhere, it seems to be especially noticeable around 35 MPH. I'll be taking it in & will let you know what they find. An acquaintance with a 700 told me that his was delivered with a broken motor mount that made it vibrate.

Hey there X2x2.
The dealer has replaced the primary and secondary clutches and the problem is still there. I took the belt off and reved the motor up to the rev. limiter and had no unusual vibrations. Once the belt was put back on the vibration came back. It happens in neutral and park as well. So I still think it has something to do with the secondary side of the belt drive/transmission. The dealer mentioned that they checked the motor mounts on mine.
Does yours vibrate in neutral and at about half the speed in low gear (18mph) as in high gear (35mph) ?.
I would appreciate any info you can give me if your dealer has any success with yours.
Thanks.

I wrote in another thread that I called polaris parts tech line, they said that none of the ATP Accesories will fit the X2. But I am about ready to go ahead and get both the bed gate extender and the rear bumper. Can you look closer next time to see if the Mounts look close to what the X2 would be?

The ATP was on someones truck at the time. I think they were just bringing it in for service, so it isn't very likely that it will be there when I am there next time. If I see another one I will pull out the tape measure and write down some numbers to see how it will line up.

I haven't noticed any vibration in neutral. I haven't used low gear much so I'm not sure on that. I'd check it out next time but I am taking it in for service before the next trip so hopefully there won't be a next time!

Well I had this same problem with a 2000 325 trailboss and the dealer could not find the problem..They did not even look at the clutch either.
They thought that the motor mounts were the problem so they re-mounted my motor in a psoition that they thought to do it better and all I got out that was a wheeler that would creep when at idol.
I traded it.
Good luck

I finally got to ride it over 60km/h today. Since the Secondary clutch was replaced, the vibration is much better now but it is still noticable. I wonder if having the clutch out of balance for so long might have bent the input shaft in the transmission. They also put a new belt on when they replaced the secondary. At least the shake is bearable now, so I can at least ride it for a while before I take it back in.
