Default trailboss carb problem

just installed a new carb kit on my 1996 trailboss 250. it still dont run worth a s***. now instead of leaking gas it just bogs down really bad. every time you start off from a dead stop, it bogs really low and then it goes.....WHY. that isnt all. we tweaked with it some more and now it never makes it to full throttle. it just bogs down and hardly moves on its own. we've adjusted it for 3 days and still cant get it right. what are we doing wrong or what is wrong with the carb, it just had a new kit put in it. any ideas?

Was it leaking gas out the overflow? Check to make sure the crankcase is not full of gas.

ya it was. that was the reason for the carb kit. we rode the thing for a day. they finally got it running decent and the next day (yesterday) it started bogging down again.

they said it has to do with the gas and air mixture. seems to be getting to much gas to the carb. occasionally (1out of 3 times) when you try to start it for the last three or so days, it will backfire when you try to start it up. fouls out a plug quick now to.

could it be the crankcase? or something else? thanks
