My wife has a 2000 TB and she likes it ok, but as you know it is heavy and the front suspension is not up to par. The strut front end works ok but tends to make steering heavy. She is only 100 lbs soaking wet, and wrestling the TB around all day can wear her out. She love the auto tranny and the 2 stroke motor, so I thought this might give her the best of both worlds.
My question is what would you think about grafting the front end of a 300 or 400 EX onto her TB? There isn't much on the front end of it to get in the way. It should be pretty straight forward. Has anyone ever tried this or something similar?
Thanks for you input.

I have heard of people using the Scrambler suspension in front. All you need to do is swap out the springs and strut cartriges to make it work. If you can find someone with 'soft' front springs, that might be better as your wife likely won't be taxing the suspension @ 100 lbs.
This won't help the steering effort, though. The easiest way to help that would be to get the '01 strut castings. They have a longer 'arm' where the tie rod connects for more leverage.
I am suggesting simple, bolt on mods. If you have a welder & know how to use it, I would imagine about any sport/racing quad with a good front end woud be a good donor. The Polaris tie rods are standard thread, and it wouldn't be too hard to get some that would be longer or shorter than stock if needed.

More air-pressure in the front tires, or a more rounded tire with less contact patch with help steering too.
