Well, I have tried everything under the sun to get the rear suspension to handle a 280lb guy and hold it's own.
I ordered some heavy duty springs for the rear... but they did not work....
I tried to put the X2 springs on my existing shocks..... Dealer couldn't get them on?
I purchased a spring compression tool and built a 1" aluminum lift kit for under the spring... trying to change the spring rate!
Didn't work! Still sagged....
Broke down and bought the whole assembly off the rear of the X2... Springs, Shocks, Adjusters, and Retainers!
Took a little time.... but it is up about an inch at least and solid as a rock.... I should be able to pull the 24' Enclosed trailer around without squat!
No... it still has a little ride to her... but it feels like a million dollars.

To round off the look I put a 1" lift kit under the front springs and raised the strut 1" too.
She feels solid as a rock!

Good job hanging in there! Many lesser men would have broken and just accepted it the way it was. I would like to see some pics also.

 

The one thing I did not try was the MV700 springs.... They may have worked... but if I remember correctly they were $90.00 each...
This little job would have cost me about $360.00 total.... but the dealer gave me 20% off the parts and I had a $50.00 off coupon if I purchased $250.00 on the Star Card. About $240.00 and I have a little lift and a plush ride!
I will try and get pics out as soon as I can.... I may be doing the same to my 04.5 700 EFI.....
May try and sell all the slightly used parts if anyone is interested.
