Ok i have a 99 500 scrambler 4x4 and i wanna take the awd off and how can i do this i want the complete system off. Becuase i dont use it it has cause alot of troubles and i wanna take the weight off of it please tell me because im probabley missing school to do this tommoro.

 

DON'T SKIP SCHOOL! If you really need to do this, at least go to English, then you can take the rest of the day off.

How much work/expense are you willing to put forth? To do it 'right' would require quite a bit of both. You might be almost as well off trading for the 2wd version.
