Default coolant leak on 04 700

sidekickmech"- thats how I "fixed" my prob after we got back to the cabin(30miles or so) a hunk O' pipe slammed into the hose.Since I had a few beers --I think I could take a piece of thin wall copper pipe (6" or so) and solder on a bunch of "cooling fins" and make an inline cooler out of my splice pipe! ever use those aftermarket coolant additives?

I replaaced the seal and all is well. Thanks for the tip I'll check my hose in a bit. My whole problem came from the impelar came loose and that trashed the seal. Thats a great idea to put a temp gage in. I'll give it a try. Any one have a pref. of what kind?

itstillruns- the cooling fin idea is a good one. no, i've never tried any of those coolant additives. once everything was replaced i just went back to coolant/water. never had a problem since.
