basical the brain atv. the computer that runs everthing just like a car i beleave. isnt there a code you can pull out to tell you what sensor is bad?

Fan running constantly
I stopped by the dealer today and he said its the thermostat sensor. Its $73!!! Is there any way i can rig up a toggle switch for the fan instead of spendin money on sumthing that will just go bad again??
