Swap Ignition Coils?

Swap Ignition Coils?
Having no specs to test it, I want to rule out that the 'no spark' condition on my son's Kasea 50cc is not caused by a faulty ignition coil.
What do you guys think about swapping the coil from my Sportsman 500 in for a test? Anyone think I could cause damage, or do you think it would be fine?
