i just got mine yesterday. with what little time i have on it, i love it. its comfortable as hell, suspension is great (rear is a little soft for my liking) sport quad with 4x4 = great time. now i need a chain tensioner so i can really try it out. stock wheels are way to weak though.

i have an 05 scrambler, by buddy has an 04 kfx 400. In my opinion they are very diffrent machines. the 400 sports are light nimble and (in my opinion) a scrambler is jus t to heavy to really experience the same ride. I don't want to say they cant keep up, because they can in trails, but you just don't get the torque and manuverability you get from a light sport quad. I have added a full exhaust, jets, aggressive clutch kit and K&N and this has closed the gap. That being said...I love my scrambler, the auto clutch is easy for a guy who doesnt want to work so hard in mud and tough rocks, the thing goes anywhere and the ride is still more sport like than any 4x4 on the market. But for a guy comming from a 400 sport quad...you should really test drive one to make sure you are up for that type of change...I'm 35 laid back....ride pretty hard, but not lookin to kill myself or get stuck....so it works for me...

Scrammies rock. I wish I had one. I have the same frame but only a 250 non 4x4. In other words a Trailblazer. Although my TB has taken me many places and always returned me home

My Scrammy was bought new in 2000 and has done everything Ive asked of it. My buddy had a 660 raptor and although he topped out speed wise faster than me, I could hang with him alright + I could go thru the deep stuff better. I guees it depends on what you are into.

If you are into jumping high than a scrambler is out of the question. I jump mine about 5ft off the ground and have never had a problem but any higher and you are asking for trouble. If you plan on keeping your other quad you would be set up perfect as you would still have a sport quad for jumping ect.. and a kick azz 4x4 that will hang with anything in the trails. It rides like a utility as far as bumps and ruts, but rips like a sport up and down hills. I love mine to death but would also love a true sport quad. My wife keeps commenting about going riding with me so I am thinking about getting a pred or outlaw next year after our van is payed off then I can choose what to ride depending what mood I am in. I have also never heard anyone say they regreted the purchase of a scrambler! That is something to be said. It is uniqe and with some nice rims and a pipe with an agressive clutchkit you will look great and impress alot of people on the trails. I always find people staring at me when I come ripping out of a deep mud hole throwing mud everywere and run right up to a jump and get 4-5ft air, spin it around and pull a wheelie. They are simply amazed that it can do anything. I have gone mudding with many of the large 4x4 uts and have never had a problem going through what they go through and you will look tons better doing it.
Good luck and enjoy!

i've got one..it's super fun
as for me i'm into more jumping and stuff...it's been good to me and i still like it alot! i'm hoping to sell it and get a 450 racer next year but i dont know how fast that'll be happening
nothing rides like it tho, once u get it in the trails the machine really shines, i can haul up hills and fly through the trials..my friend had a 400ex, i could keep up w/him just fine and he rode mine not that long ago and he was surprised by how much power it has
i've hit some pretty big jumps on mine and havent had any major problems ****i've also never been stuck in the mudd**** (just a river once but i wont go there lol)
good luck w/ur decision!
