my sportsman 500 make a clanking noise when i try to clank it almost like the battery is low or the starter is about to go out. ANY SUGGESTIONS

 

my Scrambler does this too. When its cranking you can hear it, then when its started it'll keep doing it for about 2 seconds or so.

 

it shouldnt be making nise like that. is the stater tight or did the fly wheel teeth break. i would look in to it before you do some real damage. maybe the starter gear is screwed up. i would take it off and check around.
