It is not the miles on the quad that matter cause most quad average speed is 10 to 15 mph when you go by hours an miles. It is how many hours the motor has on it. Let me here from the new one with mile an a hour meter see what you have.

i have a 2000 scrambler that i use 3 days during the week and on the weekens so like 15 hours a week and it finally needed a rebuild because the piston ring shattered....never run a two stroker outa gas.....and then it had to be rebuilt againg because the piston was defective. it had to get rebuilt before i put half tank of gass on new motor. also supposeably haveing a pipe helped shatter the ring. but yeah .040 over now

My buddy works at the Polaris dealership. The Yamaha dealership was running an ad for a mechanic and I mentioned it to him just for conversation. He said "He11 no he would never work for yamaha again! Their crap runs for ever!" He said "at least with Polaris they wear out fast enough you don't get hardly any old junk". This is not what he told me when I bought my 2 600 SP and 330 TB! My dad had a 84 Big Red Honda that he sold in 04 and it may have had the engine oil changed once and a very hard life and there is no doubt in my mind whoever bought it can go out and start it in a couple of pulls. I'm not trying to bash polaris but in general I don't think they come close to reliability of a honda. Saying that Honda doesn't make a wheeler that I personally would consider buying.
