Just wondering ??????? seen some badass rockcrawling videos if polaris atv`s wonder if they still run after all of that ?

 

I also think polaris has the best suspension but can the motor and fit and finish keep up with the japanese atv`s i heard there in the shop alot though from a friend that work`s at a dealer.

 

whats high milage to you? i put 750 miles of high speed abuseive use on mine and it ran like it was brand new. Perky on the forums has 2 800's one with like 4000 miles on it and the only problem hes had is like a leaking differential.

its all on how you maintain it.

now let me ask you this: If reliability was an issue, do you think the US Government would aquire 1000 Polaris MV700's for battle use in Afganistan and Iraq?

WOW i never had an idea that they went that far. Iheard the tranmissons where blowing up.

 

i seen a 425 magnum with 23000 miles on it. these were mostly highway miles but it still had the original belt and spark plug in it.... also know a guy that has a 2004 330 magnum with about 12000 miles on it and it has original belt...but i have also seen hondas with this kind of mileage on em too. it depends on how you take care of it.

 

Mainemudder3 has a bike with a crapload of miles on it.....

 

The older Polaris's seem to hold up good if you take good care of them. I have a 95 Scrambler 400 and I just had to redo the whole motor last winter but it had a rough life.

 

Theres a couple guys on different fourms that have over 10,000 miles on there polaris.

 

it's also in how you use your machine...

if machine A is always knee deep in mud or crawling rocks, it is obviously not going to survive as long as machine B that is driven on dirt paths and used for standard "trail" riding. This applies even if you take care of it b/c the driveline components and engine of machine A are subject to more abuse = more wear and tear.

My observation is that Polaris' run fewer miles / less high mileage machines, but then I see the "extreme" riders ( ie deep mud) riding polaris ATVs... correlation.. i bet so.
