DS, not to bash or start a "my quads faster than yours" contest but a properly piped-jetted predator with the right gear and an air kit will outrun a a 450 yam with the same mods every time. There are more YZF's in my neck of the woods than Predators and I'm happy to say that my quad amongst 2 other Preds are the quickest of the group. The only quad that spanks on me around here is a Quadzilla 500 with some work done to it. My Banshee was faster than the Pred I have now but it was modded way more - I was clocked at 88 MPH on radar . My Pred tops out at 76 with the mods I have done and the YZF and Honda 450's at 74 on radar. The pred's have more torque in the midrange - top. Can't go wrong with any of these quads really - peace out

lol, well all i know is that that 06 piped/jetted yfz has a lot more power than my friends 03 pred that is piped and jetted. and i wasnt talking about who has more topend. im saying from 0-300 feet my friends YFZ will spank my friends pred no matter who rides either

 

my stock raptor would beat my friends piped and jetted predator(1/8 mi). my stock raptor got spanked by a stock yfz 450. so unless you build a predator you're gonna be slow.

 

your friend must not have known how to ride. raptor vs pred is pretty much equal, but a YFZ will annhilate both..

 

its the difference in compression. Ive rode the yfz and stock its a bad bike.
Oh yeh, the dude I run on the pred couldnt drive.

 

SORRY BUT A PRED CAN NOT HANG WITH 450"S PUT EQUAL MODS ON BOTH OF THEM AND THE 450 WILL LEAVE THE PRED IN SHAME!!! 350lbs. (450's) 415lbs (PRED.) power to weight ratio is alot better on 450's and thats what wins races.

 

Yeh what he said. Dont waste the time with a predator or any polaris at all for that matter. They may have changed it by now, but the pred I rode (early model) had the most uncomfortable seat ever. Honestly be better replacing it with a banana seat from a huffy.

 

dont waste time with polaris,they suck horrible, I agree with "jrpowersports" the preds seats are like sitting on a brick even the newer models.
