I'm glad to hear that, I'll be standing in line as well for the conversion. I have also been considering shaving the head .020 spoke with a guy this weekend that had done and he said it made a pretty noticeable difference. Sound like a good idea to anyone else?

Shaving the head sounds good to me, since I plan on doin' that myself, along with a .20 overbore(as soon as the damn thing blows!!), along with an rcr or hpd kit(I like the sounds of that roller clutch and reed cage)

I have done the .020 off the head an it helped out an I am still running the stock piston an it is 4yrs old an 3 yrs racing motocross an have a 34mm carb an on the track can usally beat warriors. Im running a 34 rear sproket an 12 in front. I have the clutch set up for motocross racing an is very snappy. Have DG pipe on it. There is a pic or to at Lurch's web site it is a 95 TB weight is 265 lbs with full load of fuel. i hope HPD has a head like that would help alot in racing.

x_scrambler3,

How did you get your quad down to 265 lbs wet? You must know something about what's heavy on these quads. Also, I didn't know DG made stuff for Polaris quads. I'll have to check it out.

THANKS!!!

RickRitter,

How about an answer to my question about dynos/HP for the stage 1 kit??? Also what kind of differences does reeds make over piston port? Although I have rode many 2-strokes, I am by no means any kind of mechanic. I'm guessing it doesn't make a great deal more HP. I have seen dynos on piped T-Blazers at 30 HP. What's the mechanical difference?

Thanks!!!

I would do it before you blow it up save the hassel of going into the crank and fixing what can happen. Plus it lots cheaper to fix it then.

Dazed,

Do you mean go inside the engine? I've heard a few stories about bad stock pistons. A lot of people do reccomend replacing them before they go.

My dealer told me something when i had my 4-wheeler then when i put the hole in the piston about he could make it go faster by putting a new helix in it. I was thinking bout doing it too, I think that might be a good chrismtas present for me
