Is $50 a good price for a service manual for a '99 Sportsman 500?

 

NO!
I paid $35 at my dealer.

 

The specific manuals are $30, but the only manual available for the '99 Sportsman 500 is a composite (covers all AVTs for that year) and it's $50. I called three dealers in two counties and got the same story from all of them. Does anyone know of a mail order place that sells Polaris manuals?

 

Same thing goes for my '97 SC 400. Only I was able to find the manual for $25 plus shipping through Polaris of Memphis, TN. My Dealer also wanted $50 for the manual. Get on the net and grab the phone numbers for all the dealers and parts houses for Polaris you can find. Call them all until you find the cheapest one. That's what I did and saved $25 minus shipping.

 

What was the P/N for the composite $50 manual?

Part number for 335 and 500 Sportsman service manual, "96" to "00" is 9915686. Sells for about $30.
