I bought a hawkeye for my wife last week ,she likes the handling more than my 500. We still don't have many miles on it yet and everything is ok so far. What I came across was that I went to start it with the rope starter after it was hot (just to see how hard it was)when I pulled the rope out of its seat a bunch of air pressure rushed out . Has anybody else experienced this?

Its a good seal, keeps water out of your recoil.

make sure you sealed it back up good to keep the crap out. when they have a good seal they will do that.
