Were they about an inch bigger around too? That really sounds like the 02 size.

Don't know if you can tell the difference in the two from the pictures. But put in for an 01 Trail Boss and an 02 and you might see what I'm talking about.

Yep, the one mine came with was the one built after 12-11-00, the only replacement the dealer offered to me was the one built before 12-11-00 that is longer soi went to work with a hacksaw and made it fit.

Thank you guys.....that what i was gonna do.....trim it and just make it fit........thanks 4 just clearin it up
