I've only been able to get mine up to about 62'ish mph (on packed dirt farm field) before I run out of straight away. Where I ride, I'm lucky to get a 1/4 mile straight. I'm sure I could hit 70 if I had enough room, but I don't.

 

72 mph by gps at 6000 plus elevation.

 

I've owned two of them, an 02 with stock tires and an 05 with stock tires. They both ran right at 65mph on GPS. I must have gotten a couple slow ones???

 

No, thats right. Thats what people i know that have them say, about 63mph

 

I know....I was being sarcastic. Ive heard people saying their 500's go 70, 700's going 75....whats next, 800's doing 80+!!

All I know is mine goes SUPER fast with the juice.

 

I've been running over sized tires (27") for along time and I could get up over 55 on the speedo which is close to 60 really. I put some stock tires on it today and can get over 70. My speedo registers 60 and my needle will bury and go into the digital part. I have had it up to 65 when I first got it and thats all it would do. I never thought a 700 would do over 70 untill today. O and this is without my nitrous on. I'm not for sure what it will run with the juice on.

 

Well, i know 100% for a fact i've hit 70 a few times. Top speed around 73. On a paved road. BUT if you have some common sense and think about it. The '02 700's were the slowest. Those things came with the rawhide grip tires which took away speed etc.. and same with the '03 700's pretty much. And '05 and up got the '26 inch tires and a new frame etc.. which took away top end speed.. BUT in '04 the areodynamic's changed just a little bit. Different front end. Lighter, Badlands tires. So its a known fact that in the 2004 year was when then 700 and 500 H.O. were the fastest. My 500H.O. got up to around 68mph on that same paved road. So yeah, its true. No sarcasm here.
