Default 700EFI anyone??

Hey guys I am interested in 3 atvs bf650i, bf750, and the sportsman 700EFI. I wrote a kawasaki forum in the kawasaki section and before I make my move on what I get I need to know some info on the 700EFI. One of the reasons I did not like the 700EFI is 2 reasons. It would not go fast and it weighs to much. I have a 1999 sportsman 500 and it moves like a slug. So please give me the goods and bads.

THANKS

Yes ride each one an then pick you should also look at what kind of riding you will be doing an what you what the atv to be. If looking for speed then the Can-am is the fast. Fpr work the ploaris 700 works good. An my 700 is no slug either an I have had it up to 62. Good luck on your quad you pick no matter what brand it is.

lol, are you kidding me? The SP700 is a very fast machine IMO .. top speed on mine is around 72, and it gets up to speed QUICK .. i dont regret for ONE second that i bought this machine. The weight is due to stronger components. Built stronger to last. The ride is 2000x better on the Sportsman. I would say the handling and mudding ability would be better on the SP as well. The bf750 easily has more power. But thats about all i see. Plus you get EFI if you go with Polaris.... SO I'd go with the 700, for '07 it will be in its 4th year of production, making it the oldest and most proven EFi available.

the 700 is no slouch... gosh it'll do 0-40 in the blink of an eye...

if you are going to mount a winch up front.. the wiring is already there and the winch is very easy to install.

definitely agree on that.

I bet your 1999 Sportsman 500 IS a slug. Mine was too. Then I bought the 500 HO in 2001..WOW!!!! Whaddah difference. Dont judge all Polaris's by you 1999 version. NOT a good comparison. As far as the 700, I'm not sure however, my 800 EFI flies down the trail. My only complaint is the gas mileage, so the 700, might be better in that catagory. Good luck!

if your looking for speed out of the polaris department, look at a Sportman 800. when i had mine i could sit on the gas tank, punch the throttle and it would still do a good wheelie. mine maxxed out at 77mph (police radar gun varified ) and it was a solid reliable machine. its certainly not as sporty o nimble as a Bomb 800, but it will hold its own against all of them, and will beat anything in a situation requireing 4x4

Im still VERY curious about 90% of the people on this thread when they state their top speed? Almost EVERYONE of you state a top speed that is FAR below what that machine is capable of. Also different year models also mean different top speeds. I think for the 2004 700 and 2004 500H.O were the best 2 years, so far, for having the best top speed. I had my H.O. hitting almost 70 once. But when my 700 was stock, WHOO i KNOW without a doubt, i've hit over 70mph. I did this on a paved road however while im guessing some of you do it on the trail?? But my 700 regularly hit 65-68 and when i was on the road it could get maybe 3-4 more mph... So dont call me a liar when i've done this a thousand times. I ride almost every day. Unlike alot of you.. I have no reason to lie?

Default 700EFI anyone??

I dunno, i've ridden my dad's 800 quite a bit, and i have raced my friends 700 EFI many times. The wheelie ability is no lie, these will stand right up, but i usually only beat the 700 by about a bike length. I do have about 50 lbs on the rider of the 700 tho. As for top speed, i have never seen the 800 go over 66 on a level surface. So i dunno if thats just this specific machine or not.
