Look at the the features the Polaris sportsman have, The jap quads doesn't even come close. Yes the outlander is fast ,Its not a workhorse like the sportsman. Ill stick with Polaris.

Your right I missed the $2500.00 part, but WOW you guys are really jealous of the Outlander are'nt you. But ya for the $2500.00 price range you should stick with those other brands

for bulletproof reliability and low maintnance i would look at a air cooled honda. although honda's will never be the fastest or the strongest, they're tough

Theres alot of Polaris owners recommending a Honda. Why is that? Whats wrong with the Polaris that an owner of one would recommend a Honda?

Rinman,

tcG is not looking for performance - review his question. If he was, you know what the answer would be. For every a$$ their is a seat. In his case it may well be a Honda.

Its just that honda has been around forever. Suzukis are good too. For $2500 though, this time of year, you could get a good deal on a new Suzuki Ozark or Honda Recon. They are a blast to ride for 250's and wont break the bank and are bullettproof machines. Heck, there is a dealer close to me selling new Kingquad 700's right now for $5999. If I hadnt got a Sporty 800, I'd be getting one of the Kings at that steal.

because old honda's are cheap, reliable, plentifull, and will run nearly with a tea spoon of oil in the crank and gasoline fumes in the gas tank.

old polaris' are not reliable, are not cheap, and are not plentifull (collector quads) and everyone knows that polaris' require their regular maintnance

That is not always the case either, my 1990 Fourtrax 200 always needs some kind of work done to it. Muffler going out, blows smoke, clutch rattels, starter went out, and this was just this past 6 months.

well not all old polaris' are not reliable. ive seen polaris quads from the early 90's pulling suzuki's and yamaha's off the trail. but its not the norm either. just the ones you come by i suppose
