I am thinking of getting a set of bighorns for my quad. I ride in a lot of rock and woods, and a little mud. I was wondering how they hold up, and how they work. I know they are not a mud tire but do they work better then my stock pxt tires in the mud. Any info would be a help.

I am currently running 25 in bighorns on my SP 500 and will be buying a set of 26 or 27s for my 800 when the stock tires wear a little bit more. The bighorns are great in rock and hardpack and okay in mud and snow. They will perform about the same as your pxt's in mud. The only thing is you really need to watch closely because you can dig yourself in really really quick and high center easily. Also the bighorns are one of the toughest tires on the market and after nearly 1000 miles on mine they are just starting to show a little bit of wear. Check out this site for more information

Without writing a book about my experiences with Bighorn tires, let me just say they are the best rock and hard pack surface tires you can buy. They will perform some what better in mud & snow than the factory tire. But nothing will handle rocks like a Bighorn. They will also last along time.
My set of 25" Bighorns have survived 5100 miles of GNCC style of riding.
