I have both the 400 & 500 2x4 2000 models the 400 is now modded quite a bit pipes head work clutch and reeds an all i can say is WOW!!!! this 400 rips and as far as keepin up with a banshee i can roost by and say goodbye now. my 500 is stock and can keep up with the 400 but it takes some hard ridin to stay within eye site of the 400 on the trails. oh and my friends banshee has a few mods also. pipe reeds and head work. Just so no one thinks i am pickin on the banshee my friend and i have traded riding and the 400 still rips *** on the banshee with other riders. on trails and in a drag race. we don't race on a mx track that is where the banshee was designed for. but no matter we ride every weekend together doesn't matter what you ride as long as you ride!!!!!!

Thanks for the reply guys. Mods are going to be just add ons, clutch kit, pipe. Also, is the 400 2x4 got the same look as the 500 with the lights on the handlebars? I went to polaris site and they looked the same. This is a good topic lets keep the posts coming. By the way, when is it going to snow!!!Quads+snow=fun!!

Xplor, The way that I can get up to 80 mph is my pipe for one. I don't know what pipe you have but mine is from hotseat performance. With the kit you get a clutch and a pipe with a silencer. The pipe has three spacers that you can adjust the amount of horsepower that you want on the top end. I don't have any of these spacers in now but I will be probably put one in. The other factor is I have a better reed valve. The reed from v-force is bigger than the stock valve and lets more fuel in. Along with the reed is the k&n filter= more air. Then I have my cylinder bored 40 over. but you don't have to do that to get 80mph.

Those 4x4's still can do alot for being that heavy . I have yet to see one perform because where I live we don't really need two stroke 4x4. But the modifications should still be like the two wheel drive models. I would like to see how the 4x's compare to the two wheel drive two strokes like mine slightly modified.
