Sure, lower the starting price, even as low as $100, and sell without a reserve. You can ALWAYS move it that way. Too many have either the starting price or reserve too high, and it won't generate any response. If you use a reserve, keep it as low as possible instead of putting it at what you want for the bike. A bike with a low starting price and no reserve will generate a lot more interest and often sell for more then someone else's with a low starting price and an unknown reserve. This is because they know that someone will be the winner, while many reserves are set too high.

I don't recommend reserve prices except when you are using the Buy It Now feature. If you don't use a reserve with this feature the first bid someone makes will remove the Buy It Now, and your money will be wasted. Use a reasonable Buy It Now price, and many times someone will buy it at that price within a day or two of the start. People don't like to wait, and they want to know what the final price will be without waiting until the end of the auction.

Too many people think they should be able to get Retail book value for their bikes, which is why they don't sell on ebay. Keep the starting price low to appeal to bargain shoppers. Remember, ebay is primarily frequented by people looking for bargains, but you get a lot more eyeballs veiwing your item then by using local classifieds so your chances of selling for a reasonable price are much better due to large number of people looking for similar items.

You could senda second chance offer to the highest bidder after the auction ended....if there were any high bids....

Also depending on how you have it listed will make a big difference. I know it is a TB400 but most people think of a Trail Balzer as a 250. List it under Scrambler 400 then in the description say it is a TrailBlazer 400. Or put both like Scrambler Trailblazer 400. You can always put a low starting price with no reserve. In the description you can state that the bike is being sold locally and auction can end at any time. So this way if the auction is not going good you can end it.

and put 500 in the auction title. some people will search looking for particular number. you will reach more people with "scrambler trailblazer 400 500" in the title and if someone types in any one of those words your listing will pop up.
