Do you like your Polaris Trailboss 325?

I bought my wife a 325 trail boss in April. Not sure how many miles it has on it so far. Here are my likes and dislikes:
Likes:
1. Fun and fast machine for the money. Don't expect to keep up with a Scrambler or any sport machines on any straight aways, but on tight trails it has pretty good power.
2. Fun to ride. This machine has a little utility to it, but is still fun to ride and do small jumps on.
3. Price. I paid $3,300 plus tax.
4. Easy maintenance. Takes about 5 minutes to grease it and wax the chain.
Dislikes
1. A little too heavy. Would be nicer if it could shed 50 pounds.
2. Low range would be nice to have at times. It would provide a little better control when loading it into the back of my truck.
All in all, my wife really likes it and I also enjoy riding it. The only problems I have had with it are:
1. Rear brake went out really fast.
2. Front lower steering stem bushing is wearing out fast.
3. Master link on the chain got damaged.
The brakes and the steering stem bushing were all upgraded on the 2001 models. The master link was rider induced by running over a big rock. Cost me $6 to replace myself. The 2000 and some 2001 have a crappy design for the oil cooler lines. Polaris has replaced these on the new machines and is changing the old ones out for free. My machine goes in Monday for the retrofit. Post any specific questions that you might have.

I have had my T-Boss for about a month and I am very pleased with it. It has good power, great ride and handling. I have had other machines that were supposed to be sport-utility but this is the first that really lived up to that name. I was a little spooked with the stories I had heard about Polaris reliability so I talked to a lot of T-Boss owners on this web site and had found mostly happy owners. They had a problem with the oil cooler lines and have a re-call on them so you want to make sure the machine you get has the updated lines (most but not all 2001 models have been upgraded). I have had no problems with mine, and in fact, my Polaris hating brother has now been converted after seeing how nice mine rode. He went out and bought a Trail Blazer. I have had mine in a lot of different situations already and it has never failed me yet. When you look at what else is available in the price range the Boss is a winner. If you have any more questions don't hesitate to ask. BK

I have a 2000 SP500 with 100 hours and 650 miles, no problems. Also have A 2000 Trailboss for my family. Oil line came off at about 100 miles but suffered no motor damage. It took 4 days for for repair. We live in the mountains on about 100 acres and ride at least 1 or 2 hours a day. In the price range the Trailboss is a lot of machine for your money. I would buy it again. Has a very safe feel on our steep hills, some rutted and slick. My family members range from 5 ft. about 100 lbs. to 6ft 1in, 260 lbs. we all like it. We had about 6 in. of snow last week, the Trailboss went everywhere my SP500 with 26 in. Mudrunners went but one very steep rutted NASTY snow covered hill on my inlaws Christmas Tree farm. I was suprised it did so well in the snow in the mountains! BUY IT AND GO RIDING.
