Default Two Cycle Oil

Hey guys I am running the polaris gold synthetic two cycle oil in my 400 scrammy. I would like to switch over to Motul. The reason is the gold is very expensive and the polaris dealer is a long way from my house. So what do I need to do before making the switch or can I just run out the gas with the gold mix and start back with the motul?

That sounds like a good idea. I would venture to bet that you could mix them as long as the ratios are the same.

beside everything else, the polaris gold is a very good stuff, and the 400 motor doesn't need
extra racing oil in it to run properly,,they're even some guys running mineral polaris blue oil
in them with no problems.

if you are premixing it Iwouldn,t run it completely out of gas, because then your motor wouldn't be getting oil either. I would run it down the quite a bit, then drain out what little is left. Most oil manufacturers don't recommend mixing oils, but say there oils are compatible.
