6x6 Tie Rod bent like pretzel
My son rides the 6x6 these days.
Getting ready to do some routine maintenance on the bike, noticed the left wheel canted pretty good. A quick look showed the tie rod was bent almost 90 degrees in the center of the threaded rod portion. Other suspension elements on that side show NO damage.
I guess it doesn't matter how it got bent, gotta be replaced. Was almost able to straighten it, almost isn't good enough.
Seems pretty amazing that the rod bent where it did and didn't tear the stearing yoke/column apart.
Saw where guys have had those shear away. Have to look close at that part also.
Sure gets old (and expensive) replacing parts on tthis 6x6, both due to wear and failure.
Gotta love `em, to put up with this kinda hassle.
Since buying my Grizzly, I've seen how the "other half" lives.
No more Polaris for me.
