I am soo f@#*ing mad I am ready to dump this thing into Lake Superior and forget about it!!!!! I ahve had this thing in to two different dealer ships, twice to one and once to the other for the same problem. I had to drop it off againg this morning because its doing the same damn thing again!!! missing, backfiring,DYING, only when hot and at 2500-4000 rpm sounds like when you back up without pushing overide but going forward between 3-10 mph I have less than 50hrs and olny 800 mi on this thing!!!! please if anyone can give me any help or info I would be soo greatful!!!!!!

 

Check for broken wires going to the MAP sensor on top of the intake. The wires break right wear they enter the connector. The conductors may be broken inside the insulation so you need to gently pull on each of the wires and see if the insulation stretches.

 

sell it while it's still worth something (being a current model year).

i had so many nightmares over my '06 SP500EFI and don't miss it one bit!

i am considering an X2 but FEAR the fact that it's powered by the emphimous 500EFI.
