My machine has around 30 hours on it when using the engine as a brake off a steep slope in low gear 4wd with no throttle there is a terrible screetching noise.
Also notice when in 4wd low and giving slight throttle and backing off there seems to be drive line chatter the dealer has checked it and cant finad any problems.
also when applying stop there is a from a stop in gear there is a clunking sound coming from the drive line.....
Help please...
thanks bob

I have an '05 800EFI and notice a similar situation; including slower varied speeds over uneven terrain. It sounds like every time I give the gas and let off, a cluck and chattering in the drive line, in the center of the engine area where the transfer case holds the shafts.
I was just thinking of taking it in to have it checked out, but saw your post.

Thanks to everyone for their information. The other item I have not ridden enough to learn if I will have a problem, is the overheating of the side panels. It has felt warm, but hopefully it does not melt through. I will need to check and if needed, apply the reflective heat tape to try to solve.
