What is the top speed? I am upgrading from a suzuki quadmaster 500 and actually want an upgrade. I never owned a Polaris and know nothing about them. All I know is that they're very heavy. Any info. I found a new 06 500 H.O for 5,200 new so thats why i'm asking

 

I just bought my 500, top speed seems to be about 50, but that could be because I weigh about 235.

 

I have a 06 500ho and i can bury the needle but it is scary at that speed. It cruises around 40 to 50 MPH nice but will do 60 Plus if you are brave

 

I'm 220 lbs. and have had mine to 45 mph without any problems, it was about 3/4 throttle the best that I could tell. Maybe look at a Can Am 500 V-twin if you're after top speed.

 

my 02 i had would do 60 w/ the wife on it w/me. her 450 she has now will do around 52 to 55 mph.
