Default Sputtering after washing

Each time I wash my 05 Scrammy it sputters for quite a while after I wash it. At first I thought that it was from powerwashing it, then i thought it was getting the filter wet, now I don't know. I hand washed it and made suire the filter stayed dry. Any suggestions?

This has happened to me on my 700, because I sometimes take water in the exhaust pipe and it must run down the pipe to the motor.

But my pipe exits on the bottom... It's a thought though.

might check a few things.

make sure the sparkplug wire is secure and tight on the spk plug. check all your connections on your cdi box and voltage regulator. it could also sputter when the coil pack and the wires coming from it are wet.

What they said. You could also try spraying a fine mist silicone on your wiring, Brian
