upgrade '06' 700 tire and rims
Just joined this forum but looking to upgrade my stock 700 EFI Camo Sportsman. They have the not so plesent rims from the factory (steel) and I am looking to upgrade them. I was wanting to go to a larger size but not to compromise the function or performance of the machine. I am not looking for swampers because this machine primary use is for running around the farm and hunting. I will keep the stock for plowing and ice fishing. Any experience or help will be appreciated.
Thanks

Welcome aboard Hardwater, Sorry no one has responded yet. I'm not as up on your question as some others on here but I will pitch in anyways. I own an 06 700efi with the factory aluminum wheels. I can't vouch for the aftermarket aluminum wheels but I do know that there was a thread on here a short while back where a fellow was having problems stripping wheel studs after switching from factory steel wheels to the aluminum ones because the wheel studs were too short. These can be changed though. If you do a search and type in wheel, stripped or studs, I sure you can find some good info about this. I'm just not sure if the studs have to be changed to run aftermarket aluminum wheels or not. Hopefully someone else will enlighten us on this. You can reply to your own thread and just type in the word "bump" which will move your thread back to the top of the list where it might be more likely that it will get responded to sooner. Good luck.
